I am deeply humbled and truly grateful to have been named an ATLIS Pillar Award Recipient at the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools Annual Conference.

Receiving an honor like this causes you to step back and reflect. While it is incredible to be recognized by a community I care about so deeply, this award feels much more like a reflection of the extraordinary colleagues, leaders, and friends I’ve had the privilege to collaborate with over the years. No one leads or innovates in isolation—we are all built up by the people around us.

A Community Built on Generosity and Innovation

ATLIS is a remarkably unique space in the independent school landscape. It is a community defined by radical generosity—where leaders freely share ideas, unpack emerging challenges, offer steady encouragement, and collaborate to drive innovation across our schools.

Over my years serving this community, I’ve consistently been inspired by how ATLIS members tackle complex questions around technology, leadership, and pedagogy:

  • Open-Source Mindset: Freely exchanging strategies, models, and frameworks to elevate every independent school campus.

  • Forward-Thinking Design: Anticipating technological and cultural shifts before they arrive in the classroom.

  • Relational Support: Creating a trusted network where leaders can be vulnerable about operational hurdles and work through solutions together.

One of the highlights each year is the opportunity to present, and it’s always a privilege to share the stage with Jason Kern. This time, we dug into a topic that’s top of mind for so many schools right now: how to truly ignite innovation—not just talk about it.

Deep Gratitude for the Journey

To everyone who has shared time, insight, and kindness with me throughout this journey—thank you. I am acutely aware of how much I’ve benefited from the wisdom, mentorship, and support of others along the way.

A special thank you to Matt Scully for the exceptionally kind words during the presentation, and to the entire ATLIS team for their tireless work championing technology leadership in independent schools.

It has been an absolute honor to serve this community over the years. I remain deeply thankful to be part of this work, and I look forward to continuing to learn, collaborate, and contribute however I can in the years ahead!
